Q. Does Lakeview offer soccer?
A. Yes, soccer is offered
through the Lakeview Soccer

Q. Is the age requirement effective as of registration day?
A. No. The age is effective
as of April 30th of the registration year unless otherwise noted.
Q.
How much does registration cost?
A. The annual registration
fees for 2008 are $100 for one child, $125 for two, and $150 for
3 or more children. There is a late fee of $25 if you register during
late registration in March. After paying the annual registration
fee, children are eligible to participate in all sports offered
throughout the year.

is in February, which allows players to play all sports for the
year. There is also an August registration for Football, Volleyball

(1) child, $75.00 for two (2) children and $85.00 for three (3)

Q.
What is the difference between NORD and Novice teams?
A. NORD is the upper
level of competition and primary traveling team. Each age group
has only one NORD team. NORD begins at 9 yrs old and goes up to
16. NORD teams require a tryout. Children who don't make the NORD
team can still play on a Novice team. Novice is more recreational
and emphasizes fundamental training. The novice leagues form all-star
teams that travel but not as much as NORD teams. There are several
novice teams in all age groups from 4 yrs old to 16.
Q.
Who supplies the team uniform?
A. We supply the uniform
in most cases. In Boys Novice Baseball, we do not supply the baseball
pants.
Q.
What obligations do the parents have?
A. Parents are required
to work the shack one night per child registered, and one shift
per child for the Memorial Day Weekend Fair. Each team will
have a "shack duty" night scheduled during the season.
If the team parents do not fulfill their shack duty obligations,
the team will have to forfeit a game.
Q.
What is "shack duty"?
A.
Shack duty is a 2 hour shift in the concession stand where you either
cook or serve food at the Lakeview Playground. The shack is open
during baseball season.
Q.
What else can a parent do to help out?
A. Other
things can include "team mom", coaching, asst coaching,
dugout parents, and working on various committees, such as field
maintainance. Any parent is always welcome to come and volunteer
their time. You can take the first step by requesting
a Volunteer Form. There is always something that needs to be
done such as registration filing, working the concession stand at
the gym for basketball, stocking food in the shack, field work
and so forth. All parents have to do is find a board member or email
us and say "What can I do to help?"
Q:
If I pay full registration in February, will I be entitled to any
refund if my child does not play any sports after the summer?
A:
No. Paying annual registration allows your child to participate
in all sports throughout the year without paying additional fees.
If you choose not to participate beyond the baseball season, you
will not be entitled to any refunds.
Q.

the question, and we'll add both your question and the answer to
this page.
