PLAY TOGETHER CAMPAIGN!

Lakeview Playground has always been built by its community. Every year, over two thousand children from 23 zip codes and families gather here to play, grow, and create lasting memories. Today, we’re inviting you to help us build what comes next.

We are proud to launch the Lakeview Play Together Campaign, a community-driven effort to raise $150,000 to construct a new, centrally located playground — designed to be fully ADA-compliant, inclusive, and welcoming to all ages and abilities.

This is more than a playground. It’s a place where movement, imagination, and community come together.

The new playground is designed to support inclusive play at every level, featuring:

ADA-compliant access throughout the play space

Ground-level and elevated play opportunities for all mobility levels

Sensory-rich elements incorporating audio, visual, and tactile play

Clear sightlines and centrally located seating so caregivers can stay connected

Spaces to play, rest, watch, and cheer — whether a child is hitting a home run on the field

or racing down the slide

Lakeview Playground is a self-sustaining, 100% volunteer-run nonprofit that works in partnership with NORDC to maintain and improve the park and operate our youth sports programs. We do not receive direct funding from NORDC or the City. Every improvement to the playground is made possible through community support.

This is an opportunity to invest in equity in play, community pride, and a lasting legacy that will serve families for generations.

Every contribution — at every level — brings us closer to creating a playground that reflects our community’s values of inclusion, accessibility, joy, and togetherness.

Playground Legends — $50,000

Exclusive naming rights for the new playground area, prominent entrance signage, recognition at the ribbon-cutting event, and multi-year acknowledgment as lead sponsor. All Playground Legends will also be recognized on a permanent brass plaque.

Shade Makers — $15,000

Sponsorship of a pavilion or awning providing much-needed shade, with permanent signage and donor recognition. All Shade Makers will also be recognized on a permanent brass plaque.

Picnic Table Pals — $5,000

Sponsorship of a picnic table near the playground with an engraved plaque. All Picnic Table Pals will also be recognized on a permanent brass plaque.

Viking Supporters — $1,000

All Viking Supporters will be recognized on a permanent brass plaque and on our website.
